Chef Flowers

My name is Richmond Flowers I attended Bradley Central High School as a freshman in 1986. Although I had a big passion for playing the tuba and was in band the whole three years I was there, my main focus was Culinary Arts which at that time was called Vocational Services. In 1989, as a senior in high school, I attended Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. I left there in 1999.
I started working in several restaurants, and even selling wholesale food service supplies. I then decided, I acquired enough experience to open my own restaurant. So, in 2000 I opened Wildwater Steakhouse in Benton, Tennessee. After the success, of the restaurant, my wife and I also owned and operated the Ocoee Inn Restaurant, and a second Wildwater in Cleveland, Tennessee.
In what was the 2001-2002 school year, I had the opportunity to go back to my alumni at Bradley, and play a significant role in a lot of student’s life. I am currently Chef Flowers, the teacher of the Culinary Arts program we offer now. Out of all the success I’ve gained in my life, I feel as if passing my knowledge to my students is the biggest, and will continue doing so as long as I can.
As for the future, know one can be sure of what it holds. The only thing I can be sure of is I’m leaving it in God’s hands, and be sure to give Him all the glory for whatever he sends my way.
