Applications
This course, which is a project-based continuation of Web Design Essentials, teaches students work-related skills for advancement into post-secondary education and/or the workplace. The course will provide the concepts and applications that may lead to business industry certification. Course content includes exposure to advanced Web design, graphics, animations, and the complex site design. The course content provides students the opportunity to acquire advanced skills in both theory and practical application of Web design and of leadership and interpersonal skill development.

Week One
- Write 3 prgs about your break.
- Write 3 prgs about 3 goals you hope to accomplish this semester. Why did you choose these goals and how do you plan on achieving them.
- Write 3 prgs about what you hope to learn in this class.
- Write 3 prgs about your week in Review.
Week Two
- Write 3 prgs about your weekend.
- Imagine youare a drop of water floating through a stream that leads to a waterfall. Write about your experience. 3prgs.
- Swarms of locusts sometimes blacken the sky and destroy crops. Imagine that your city or town has been invaded by swarms of some type of insect. You are a television reporter and must describe what the insect invasion is like. 3prgs.
- What if people could read on another's minds? How might this be helpful? What problems might it cause?. 3prgs.
- Write 3 prgs about your week in Review. Looking back what would you change, why? How can you learn from making the same mistakes twice?
Week Three
- Write 3 prgs about what is on your mind.
- If a sunny, spring day was like someone you know, whoul would it be? why? 3prgs.
- You and your friends have decided to start a band. The only instruments you have are items found in your home. Describe what you would use as instruments. How might they sound? what type of music would you play? 3prgs.
- A mad scientist's experiement has gone wrong. He has created something unusual. Write a description of what his experiment might have produced. What might happen as a result?. 3prgs.
- Write 3 prgs about your week in Review. Looking back what would you change, why? How can you learn from making the same mistakes twice?
Week Four
- Whats troubling you? 3prgs.
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the poem "Paul Revere's Ride." In the poem, Paul Revere rides a horse through the streets and warns everyone that the British are coming during the Revolutionary War. Write a poem about how you might warn people of a possible danger. 3 prgs.
- The book Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs tells a silly story about a place where it rains food. Write your own silly story about an unusual place. Give it a funny title. 3 prgs.
- Imagine that humans had wheels instead of feet. How would things like houses, cars, sidewalks, and stairs have to be built for people on wheels? 3prgs.
- Create a short plot outline for an original play. What famours actors or actresses would you want to portray the characters in your play?. 3prgs.
Week Five
- Abraham Lincoln said, "Don't swap horses while crossing a stream." Explain what this might mean. Create three sayings of your own and explain what each one means.
- Pretend that you and your family brought home a new puppy from the pet store. The next morning, you find that your puppy has grown to the size of an elephant. Describe what will happen when this huge dog begins running through your home. 3 prgs.
- What if your were a magician? What kinds of magic tricks would you perform? What would your most amazing trick be?
- You have just opened a bottle of orange juice. When you look inside the lid, you see the message "You are the grand prize winner!" What do you hope the prize is? Can you think of any disadvantages of winning a grand prize? 3prgs.
- A tall tale is an exaggerated story. One example is the story of Paul Bunyan and his blue ox, Babe. Create a tall tale aboutyourself in which everything is exaggerated. 3prgs.
Week Six
- What color might express how you feel today? A calm blue? An exciting red? A vibrant purple? Write the color that expresses how ou feel. Describe why you feel that way. 3prgs.
- Imagine that you are only on-half inch tall. What new uses could you invent for a normal-sized comb, spoon, wallet, and key chain? 3prgs.
- Create a place you think would be perfect. It could be a fantasy land, a special home, another planet, or any place you would like. Describe all the wonderful things you would find there. 3prgs.
- You inherited a friendly alligator from your uncle. The alligator likes living indoors. He sleeps in your bed and swims in your bathtub. Describe your life with this reptile. 3prgs.
- Write 3 prgs about whatever is on your mind today.
