Multimedia Presentations
The student will apply keying, typography, layout and design skills in this course. The student will be proficient in using interactive multimedia tools to develop electronic presentations. Creative design, persuasive communications, and language arts skills are applied through research, evaluation, validation, written, and oral communication. Typography, layout and design guidelines are applied. Copyright laws and ethical practices are reinforced in creating and formatting various presentations that require imported data/graphics, digital, audio, and video clips. Team development will also be stressed as students work on multimedia project(s). Laboratory facilities and experiences simulate those found in business and industry

Week One
- Write 3 prgs about your break.
- Write 3 prgs about 3 goals you hope to accomplish this semester. Why did you choose these goals and how do you plan on achieving them.
- Write 3 prgs about what you hope to learn in this class.
- Write 3 prgs about your week in Review.
Week Two
- Write 3 prgs about your weekend.
- Imagine that you are floating on a cloud. What does the wolrd look like? How do you feel? 3prgs.
- The weather has changed suddenly on Earth. Summer days are well over 100 degrees, and winter days are below zero. How will people survive the sweltering summers and freezing winters? 3prgs.
- Imagine that you have been chosen to decorate your school's walls with artwork. What theme(s) might you choose? Describe and sketch some of the things you would put on the walls. 3prgs.
- Write 3 prgs about your week in Review. Looking back what would you change, why? How can you learn from making the same mistakes twice?
Week Three
- Write 3 prgs about what is on your mind.
- Cars have been outlawed. The only form of transportation is by elephant. Describe what it might be like to travel on elephants. What might traffic jams look like? 3prgs.
- Farmers sometimes use scarecrows to scare birds away from thier crops. Imagine that birds wanted to scare people aaway from thier trees. What might the birds use to frighten away the people? 3prgs.
- Imagine that you have been elected as the President of our country. What kinds of new laws might you make? What would your life be like? 3prgs.
- Write 3 prgs about your week in Review. Looking back what would you change, why? How can you learn from making the same mistakes twice?
Week Four
- Whats troubling you? 3prgs.
- In Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass, Alice travels to a strange new world. Create your own story about crossing through a mirror into a strange world. 3 prgs.
- How did someone figure out popcorn would pop? Who first decided that chicken eggs might be tasty? Invent a story about the accidental discovery of an everyday food. 3 prgs.
- What things make you happy? Describe a full day of happy things. 3prgs.
- Imagine that you have taken a trip to an exciting place. Describe the place, then create a postcard from that place. Write a message on the postcard that you might send to a friend. 3prgs.
Week Five
- From 1789 to 1797 George Washington served as the first President of the United States. What might he think if he could visit our country today? Describe many of the changes he would see and what he might think about them. 3prgs.
- Write some silly excuses your teacher might use when he or she has not graded your papers on time. 3prgs.
- What if shoes could think and feel? Create a poem or story that describes a particular pair of shoesk what they might think and feel, and what they wish they could do. 3prgs.
- If you could perform a miracle, what miracle would you like to perform? How might it help others? 3prgs.
- What if people turned bright purple every time they told a lie? Would this be good or bad? What would the world be like if this happened? 3prgs.
Week Six
- pg 66 (purple book) #1-4
- Pretend a new law says children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent at all times except at school. Do you agree or disagree with this law? Why? Write a letter to a newspaper explaining and defending your opinion. 3prgs.
- How would life be different if no one went to school? 3prgs.
- Write the definition that would follow your name in the Dictionary of People.
- Write 3 prgs about whatever is on your mind today.
